The public will have more opportunities to have a say on Government’s education transformation proposals at upcoming public consultation meetings.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, at the Princess Margaret Secondary School, Six Cross Roads, St. Philip, starting at 6:30 p.m.

During the session, officials from the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training and the Education Transformation Unit will field questions from the public and provide further explanation on the process.

Public consultation meetings will continue at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, at the Deighton Griffith Secondary School, Kingsland, Christ Church, and on Wednesday, November 22, at Harrison College, Crumpton Street, St. Michael.

The education transformation is being held under the theme Reimaging Education in Barbados: A Bright Future for Every ChildIts aim is to bring about an education system that is focused on developing global citizens rooted in “Bajan values”, by equipping students with the tools for life-long learning for the 21st Century.
