The Ellerslie School Landship Dock will soon bear the name of one of its distinguished former scholars, retired Principal of the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus, Emeritus Professor the Most Honourable Eudine Barriteau.
The dock will officially be called “Queen Eudine E.L.S. W.I.S.E”, during a naming ceremony in the school’s auditorium, Black Rock, St. Michael, on Wednesday, May 8, starting at 4:00 p.m.
Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts, Dr. Marcia Burrowes, and Emeritus Professor Barriteau will deliver remarks during the event.
There will also be poetry reading and performances by the Ellerslie School, the Barbados Landship, and the Most Honourable Stedson Wiltshire, among others.
