The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is advising the public that during the extended National Pause from February 18 to 28, farmers with ID cards issued by the Ministry are permitted to operate between the hours of 6.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.

However, farmers who need to operate during the curfew period, that is from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., must apply for the Emergency Pass by visiting www.gov.bb, downloading and completing the form and emailing emergency.pass@barbados.gov.bb.

Farmers who are registered with the Barbados Agricultural Society (BAS) and need to operate during the curfew period should apply for the Emergency Pass through the BAS. They can email bdosagriculturalsociety@caribsurf.com for further information.

Farmers registered with the BAS can deliver their fresh produce to the Grotto. The Ministry has also advised that poultry depots will reopen while abattoirs, hatcheries and poultry processors will continue to operate between the hours of 7.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.
