The Ministry of Labour and Social Partnership Relations will convene its first meeting of the Social Justice Committee this Wednesday, March 27, in the Flamboyant Room North, Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael.
It will be held under the chairmanship of Minister of Labour and Social Partnership Relations, Colin Jordan, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
The meeting represents the launch of the Social Justice Committee, which has as its main objectives to consider and make recommendations to the Government of Barbados, directly or through the Social Partnership, on issues of social justice.
These meetings are expected to continue on a monthly basis, in order to reach as many of the organizations comprising the island’s third sector.
