Companies that have received correspondence from the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) requesting that their corporate tax filings be brought up to date now have more time to regularise their affairs.

The Authority has announced a further extension of the filing deadline from December 15, 2021, until March 15, 2022.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance has approved a remit of penalties and interest for failing to file Corporation Tax returns where a company did not carry on a business for income years 1968 to 2020 inclusive.

The Authority has issued a Policy Note for companies in this category on their failure to file, available online by clicking here. Please note that Corporation Tax deadlines for companies not in this category remain the same.
