The Barbados Accreditation Council???s (BAC) telephone numbers have been changed.
The new PBX number for the department, which is located at Roebuck Street, is 622-1090, while the fax number is 622-1089.
Members of the public seeking to gain information from the department may call 622-1099. BAC???s Executive Director may be reached at 622-1093.
Council For Disabled To Host Town Hall Meeting
The Barbados Council for the Disabled will host a Town Hall Meeting next Monday, July 14, to discuss the Barbados National Building Code Part 8: Access to and Movement within Buildings & Protective Barriers and Lifts, Escalators and Conveyors, and Part 9: Access and Facilities for Dwellings.
It will be held at the Clock Tower, Garrison, St. Michael, from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.??All are invited to attend.
Food Safety Symposium July 14 To 16
The Environmental Health Department of the Ministry of Health continues its education programme on food safety from Monday, July 14 to Wednesday, July 16 for food service providers and vendors participating in Crop Over.
The programme takes the form of a food safety symposium to be held at Ellerslie School Hall, Black Rock, St. Michael, beginning at 5:30 each evening.
It is aimed at ensuring that the highest standards of food safety are practised during the annual festival.??The sessions will include lectures on food safety, a skit performed by officers of the Department and a demonstration of how to properly set up a food stall.
There will also be displays of food service products and materials which would be of interest to vendors.??All food service providers and food vendors who will be marketing their goods during the Crop Over Festival are asked to make a special effort to attend.
