QEH Nurses to Receive Productivity Training
Close to 150 nurses at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) will soon get an opportunity to learn more about productivity best practices.
The Productivity Council will be offering the QEH six half-day sessions, in the first instance, beginning next Wednesday, October 15.
The nurses will learn about Customer Service, What is Productivity and Why it is Important, Team Building, and Effective Communication, among other areas.
This training is being facilitated under The Productivity Council???s public sector training initiative, and department heads are being encouraged to call 626-9416 to register their staff.
Men???s Health Group Meeting
Interventional cardiologist, Dr. Alfred Sparman, will be the guest speaker at a meeting of the Men???s Health Group at the Branford Taitt Polyclinic, Black Rock, St. Michael, on Thursday, October 16.
The meeting takes place in the main waiting area of the polyclinic from 6:00 p.m. Dr. Sparman???s topic will be: The Heart ??? Love of My Life. Everyone is invited to attend.
Cheapside and Bridgetown Public Markets to Get New Meters
The Cheapside Public Market and the Bridgetown Public Market, located at Probyn Street, will both be closed for a half day next week to facilitate the installation of the new smart meters by the Barbados Water Authority.
On Monday, October 13, the Cheapside Public Market will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to midday, while the Bridgetown Public Market will be closed to business on Tuesday, October 14, also from 7:00 a.m. to noon. The management of markets regrets any inconvenience the closures may cause.
