The Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) has advised that roadworks will start today, Tuesday, January 30, from Groves, St. George, to Lears Roundabout, St. Michael, under the Accelerated Mill and Pave Programme.
MTW’s contractor C.O. Williams Construction Limited has indicated work will start in Market Hill and will be carried out from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for approximately two weeks, pending the weather.
Motorists heading towards Market Hill will be diverted at Bridge Cot Road (next to the gas station). Traffic coming from Lears will be diverted via Flat Rock, while others will be diverted via Applewaithes onto Locust Hall.
Access will be given to local and emergency vehicles only. Signage and traffic wardens will be in place. Motorists are urged to drive with caution.
