The Project Execution Unit for the programme: Strengthening Human and Social Development in Barbados, will from tomorrow, Thursday, May 25, host a series of community outreach meetings to inform potential beneficiaries of the programme.

A collaboration between the Government of Barbados and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the programme seeks to contribute to the reduction of extreme poverty and unemployment in Barbados.

The series of meetings will begin at the North Stars Cricket Club, Crab Hill, St. Lucy, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and Warleigh Pavilion, Mile-and-a-Quarter, St. Peter, at 6:00 p.m.

The outreach teams will then move to St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral Church Hall, Bay Street, St. Michael, on Friday, May 26, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., and Holy Innocents Church, St. Thomas, from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m.

The following week, a meeting will be held on Monday, May 29, at the Parkinson Resource Centre, The Pine, St. Michael, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.

A meeting will also be held at the George Lamming School, Flint Hall, St. Michael, on Wednesday, May 31, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

This will be followed by meetings on Thursday, June 1, at Restoration Ministries and Valerie Pavilion, Brittons Hill, St. Michael, at 4:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., respectively.

The outreach teams will head to the Frederick Smith Secondary School, Trents, St. James, as well as the Grazettes Resource Center, Grazettes, St. Michael, on Friday, June 2, from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m.

St. Andrew and St. Joseph will have their turn when meetings are held simultaneously at The Alleyne School, Belleplaine, and St. Elizabeth Community Centre, St. Elizabeth Village, on Wednesday, June 7, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The last two meetings will be held on Thursday, June 8, at the Emmerton Resource Centre, Emmerton, St. Michael, and the Bethel Methodist Church, Bay Street, St. Michael, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
