The International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group is documenting Barbados’ efforts to advance its resilience to climate change.
The IFC’s mission is to advance economic development by encouraging the growth of private enterprise in developing countries.
It also helps countries develop their private sectors through investing in companies through loans, equity investments, debt securities and guarantees; mobilising capital from other lenders and investors through loan participations, parallel loans and other means; and advising businesses and governments to encourage private investment and improve the investment climate.
