Thirty persons will soon learn how to determine product and service quality, the elements of Quality Management System (QMS) and the implementation steps required to meet certification to international standards.
The Implementation of ISO 9001 Quality Management System training will be hosted by the Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI), in collaboration with the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ). It will be held from December 4 to 8, at CROSQ, Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael.
Participants will find out how integration of quality into their business processes may achieve its desired performance objectives, and they will be able to determine how their businesses can meet the requirements of the QMS standard to become ready for international certification.
During the training session, participants will learn the difference between quality control and quality assurance; the cost of quality; the requirements of ISO 9001; the steps to QMS implementation; and preparing for certification, among other areas. On completion of the course, they will receive a certificate of participation.
