The Barbados National Standards Institution (BNSI) is continuing its training to help local businesses become certified to international standards. 

The BNSI will be hosting ISO 9001 training, starting Tuesday, March 7, under the themeGet Certified, Get Recognised, Get Global Business.  The virtual training will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon, every Tuesday and Thursday, for three weeks.

It will be free for all members of the BNSI.  Other persons who are interested in participating in the sessions should call 426-3870, or email mechell.rudder@barbados.gov.bb.

ISO 9001 training is a practical and workable Quality Management System for improving and monitoring all areas of business.  The training is suitable for small and large organisations and the benefits include better internal management; less resource wastage; increased efficiency, productivity and profit; as well as improved customer retention and acquisition.    

During the training, participants will examine the seven quality management principles, namely Customer Focus; Leadership; Engagement of People; Process Approach; Improvement; Evidence-Based Decision Making; and Relationship Management.
