Barbados Revenue Authority’s (BRA) land tax online webpage.

Property owners will receive in-person assistance with the new land tax portal at nine convenient locations as the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) hosts a month-long series of land tax pop-ups, starting tomorrow, Friday, September 1.

BRA Communications Officer, Erica Lazare indicated that pop-ups will be at The Authority’s offices in Oistins, Christ Church; The Pine, St. Michael; Bridge Street Mall, The City; Holetown, St. James; and Second Floor, Warrens Tower II, Warrens, St. Michael.

Additionally, from Monday September 4, pop-ups will be held at the Daphne Joseph Hackett Theatre in Queen’s Park and at three credit union locations.

They are: The City of Bridgetown Co-operative Credit Union Limited, Manor Lodge, St. Michael and Six Roads, St. Philip, and the Barbados Public Workers’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited on Belmont Road, St. Michael.

All pop-ups will run from Monday to Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and end on Friday, September 29.

Ms. Lazare added: “We launched our new land tax bills and payment portal last Saturday in Golden Square at the Digital Summer Drive and were pleased to see many of the older property owners coming out to register and learn to navigate the new website.

“These pop-ups are really a continuation of that, where we are offering one-on-one assistance to help persons feel comfortable knowing how to view and pay their land tax bills online.” Explaining that pop-ups form part of the Authority’s strategy for engaging directly with taxpayers, she said: “We continue to take a targeted approach in our engagement strategy. These pop-ups are a major part of the Authority’s outreach programming to help taxpayers better understand their obligations, facilitate taxpayer compliance and garner feedback.”
