The National Library Service (NLS) will host a special reading event tomorrow, Saturday, June 15, to commemorate Father’s Day, which will be on Sunday, June 16.
The event will be held under the theme Bonding Moments: Celebrating Fathers.
All fathers and father figures are encouraged to come out and spend quality time reading to and playing games with their children at the NLS’ Headquarters, Fairchild Street, St. Michael, starting at 10:00 a.m.
The session is designed to encourage more children to read and for parents to discuss the major themes in the books they have read.
It is hoped that the information garnered during the event will pique the children’s curiosity and foster a greater love for reading.
