Media practitioners across Barbados are expected to participate in a Shock-Responsive Social Protection in the Caribbean Training Programme hosted by the World Food Programme in partnership with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA).

The workshop begins on Tuesday, October 18, at the Accra Beach Resort and Spa, Rockley, Christ Church, and runs until Friday, October 21. It gets underway at 9:00 a.m. daily.

Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey, will deliver the opening remarks and receive 95 tablets on behalf of the Ministry on Tuesday, October 18, at 9:00 a.m.
