The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training (METVT) has launched the WizdomCRM Sustainable Stock Market Game Platform, which is being rolled out during the first term (September to December) of this academic year.

It is a cutting-edge platform that leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and gamification to equip students with essential life skills, such as saving, budgeting, and investing. It is designed to immerse students in the dynamics of the financial world, through a simulated stock market environment powered by AI.

Using a virtual portfolio of US$25,000, each student involved in this programme will learn how to invest in both regional and international stock exchanges, while gaining hands-on experience in financial literacy, guided by an animated AI tutor, “Mr. Rabbit”.

This financial literacy initiative is jointly sponsored by WizdomCRM and the ANSA McAL Group of Companies, and aims to positively impact the lives of 1,000 secondary school students over the next four months.

Simultaneously, students in Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago will participate. It will also feature a competitive element with regional winners.

A team comprising the sponsors, Country Manager – Wizdom CRM, Charielle Plowden; Head of Marketing and Culture – ANSA McAL Group of Companies, Sarah Inglefield, and representatives from the METVT will visit secondary schools on scheduled dates.

The programme started at a number of schools this week and will be carried out tomorrow, Friday, September 27, at The Ellerslie School, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., and at Queen’s College, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
