Members of the public, especially residents of St. John districts, are being invited to come out to a Moonlight Movie Night at the Gall Hill hard court, Gall Hill, St. John, on Saturday, March 9, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The featured film for the evening will be The Impossible – a true story of an American family of five vacationing at a resort in Thailand when the 2004 Southeast Asian tsunami, with 98-foot waves crashed over their hotel separating them from each other and killing thousands of people.

The film shows how that family survived, and is intended to inform Barbadians about preparing for possible impacts of a similar disaster on these shores, particularly along the coast.

Those attending the event should bring their blankets and chairs. They are encouraged to also participate in the discussion following the movie night and find out how they can assist in Barbados’ response to a tsunami.
