The Paving Unit of the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) will resurface Church Street Major, Church Street Minor, and Pollygreen Alley, which are within the vicinity of the Central Bank of Barbados, in Bridgetown.
Starting at 6:00 p.m., today, Wednesday, May 22, Infra Construction Inc. will mill these roads until 6:00 a.m. the next day. Paving will be done by MTW on Thursday, May 23, and Friday, May 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., pending weather or any unforeseen challenges. During paving, Church Street Major, Church Street Minor, and Pollygreen Alley will be closed to vehicular traffic.
The Paving Unit will also resurface the parking lot of the Central Bank on Spry Street. While the road will remain open, businesses and road users are advised that heavy machinery and trucks will utilise this road, so delays should be expected. Road users are advised to proceed with extreme caution or use alternate routes during these times.
