The Criminal Justice Research and Planning Unit (CJRPU) of the Office of the Attorney General will soon commence fieldwork for a national survey to measure the public’s satisfaction with The Barbados Police Service (BPS).

Senior Research Officer at the Unit, Kim Ramsay, said representatives from the Unit will be in the field from Tuesday, February 7, to Friday, March 10, for the information-gathering exercise.

Ms. Ramsay explained that every aspect of the public’s interaction with The BPS will be looked at, including professionalism, response time, use of force, and fairness.

“The questions will garner feedback on any interactions individuals may have had with The Barbados Police Service.  It will be an anonymous questionnaire and we really want the public’s cooperation on this important survey,” she stated.

Field officers will be wearing official badges. For questions on the survey, persons may call the CJRPU at 536-0803, or email cjrpu@barbados.gov.bb.
