Consumers will pay less for gasoline, diesel and kerosene, as well as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from midnight, Sunday, August 7.
The retail price of gasoline will move from BDS $2.93 per litre to BDS $2.85, a decrease of eight cents per litre. The price of diesel will drop from BDS $2.07 per litre to BDS $2.04, a saving of three cents. Kerosene will now retail at 98 cents per litre, down from BDS $1.03.
Meanwhile, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will retail at BDS $135.27 per 100 lb cylinder, down from BDS $136.99, a decrease of $1.72. The price of the 25 lb cylinder has dropped from $39.35 to $38.92, a decrease of 43 cents, while the 22 lb cylinder will now cost $34.41, down from $34.79, which is 38 cents less. The new price of a 20 lb cylinder is $31.28, which is 35 cents cheaper.
These adjustments in retail prices are due solely to changes in the CIF (cost, insurance and freight) of these refined products.
