Under the new Emergency Management (COVID-19) Curfew (No. 2) Directive, 2020, the vending of fruits and vegetables by wayside vendors will be prohibited.
This was confirmed today by Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Dale Marshall, as he fielded questions from callers on the Down To Brass Tacks call-in programme today on Starcom Network.
He explained that while it was initially allowed, under the new Order issued on Thursday, April 2, persons would need to be off the road, and therefore such vending would be banned.
The new Order outlines a new curfew from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with supermarkets and all other non-essential businesses being closed.
