The St. Lucy Parish Independence Committee (PIC) is inviting nominations for the St. Lucy Beacon Award.
The award, entitled: The Sons and Daughters of Lucy Soil, focuses on persons or community groups who have made a meaningful contribution to the development of St. Lucy and, by extension, Barbados.
Individuals or community groups nominated for the award should be residing or operating within the parish of St. Lucy for at least five (5) years.
Among the categories available for nominations are: Sports and Sports Development, Education, Agriculture, Law Enforcement, Health Care, Community Service and Development, Entrepreneurship and Religion.
Nomination forms are available from members of the St. Lucy PIC, the St. Lucy Constituency Council, the St. Lucy District Emergency Organisation, the St. Lucy Development Foundation, Rubis Benthams and the St. Lucy Post Office. The deadline for nominations is Friday, September 30.
