The Deighton Griffith Secondary School is inviting members of the public to its Best Practices in Sustainable Organic Agriculture Open Day, which takes place at the school this Friday, June 1, at 10:00 a.m.
The event is the culmination of a three-year agricultural science project spearheaded by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association and its Science Department.
The project was funded by the Global Environmental Facility’s Small Grants Programme and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme.
It was designed to reinforce the aspects of the current Agricultural Science curriculum at the school and to expose students to new techniques in crop husbandry.
