A panel discussion focusing on paternity leave takes place at the Bethel Methodist Church’s Auditorium, Bay Street, St. Michael, on Thursday, July 18.
The discussion, which starts at 7:00 p.m., will be hosted by the Bureau of Gender Affairs, in collaboration with its men’s committee.
Areas to be examined include the importance of paternity leave to the family, moral/ethical elements to make paternity leave effective, and bonding of family through paternity leave.
The panellists are: retired Chief Community Development Officer, Patricia Hackett-Codrington; retired director of the National Assistance Board, Rev. Clayton Springer; Programme Officer at the Barbados Youth Service, Fabian Sargeant; and Executive Director of the Barbados Family Planning Association, Anderson Langdon.
The moderator is journalist, Sanka Price. All interested persons are invited to attend.
