Parking arrangements will be in place for members of the public desirous of attending the service and interment of the official funeral with military honours for former Commissioner of Police, Grantley Watson.

Parking for the church service will be available in the western car park of the St. Thomas Parish Church, Arch Hall, St. Thomas, which is located at the back of the church yard. Police officers will be on hand to direct the flow of traffic.

No parking will be allowed on the roadway from the direction of Seaview Road, St. James; Arch Hall, St. Thomas; and Plum Tree Road, St. James, travelling in the direction of the Lawrence Johnson Roundabout, St. Thomas, which is just outside of the church.

The service commences at 1:00 p.m. It will be followed by a military procession which will travel along the Ronald Mapp Highway to Mile-and-a-Quarter, St. Peter, where the troops will form up at Benn Hill for a 1.5 km procession to the cemetery at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter.

The Barbados Police Service has advised that the road will be closed to traffic for approximately 20 minutes, until the procession passes.

Parking for the interment will be available in the car parks of the All Saints Church and All Saints Primary and Nursery Schools. Police officers will also be on hand to direct the flow of traffic.

Mr. Watson died on February 3, at the age of 80.
