The public is invited to participate in the next town hall meeting of the Parliamentary Reform Commission on Thursday, August 24. It will be held at the Christ Church Foundation School, Church Hill, Christ Church, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Individuals will get an opportunity to share their views about Barbados’ parliamentary system and make suggestions on how it can be improved.
Meanwhile, persons who are desirous of submitting written submissions, which must be no more than five to seven pages, should do so by emailing PRC@barbadosparliament.com, or by writing to: Mr. Pedro Eastmond, Secretary, Parliamentary Reform Commission, Parliament Buildings, Bridgetown.
Those who wish to supplement their written submissions with an oral presentation should notify the Commission by writing or emailing the Secretary, at least seven days in advance of a meeting. The Parliamentary Reform Commission was established on May 8 this year, and is due to present its report on findings and recommendations to the President by November 8, 2023.
