Barbadians will get an opportunity to have their crops and household plants checked for diseases or pests when the Ministry of Agriculture holds plant clinics at Agrofest on Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24, in Queen’s Park, The City.

They will run from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Senior Agricultural Officer with the Plant Protection Department, Michael James, has urged farmers and householders to bring their infected or infested crops and potted plants to be assessed by plant doctors who will be on hand to diagnose any problems and answer questions.

Mr. James said plants should be transported preferably, in a brown paper bag to the Park to prevent moisture from forming.???? In addition, flowers, lawn grass or insects may also be brought to the clinics for assessment.
