The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training (METVT), in collaboration with the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation and Starcom Network Inc., presents Pontifications and Poetry 2024 under the heading “Transforming Education: Making Room For All”.
Pontifications and Poetry 2024 is the annual oratorical contest/showcase of the METVT, which is part of celebrations for Education Month.
This competition is open to all primary and secondary schools across the island. For primary schools, participants must be ages 9 to 11, with two poetry entries per school. Participants from secondary schools may enter the junior category (11 to 14 years) or the senior category (15 to 18 years), with two speech entries per age category.
