The Project Reach Parent Workshop will take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 23, at the St. Leonard’s Boys’ Secondary School, Richmond Gap, St. Michael.
Entitled Helping Your Child Reach Their Potential, it starts at 10:00 a.m. and will end at 2:00 p.m.
The workshop targets parents interested in learning how to connect with their children and maintain positive relationships that will help them reach their potential.
Facilitators for the session will be School Counsellor, Kamiah Hutson; Counselling Psychologist, Nicole Lynch; and School Counsellor, Laurel Springer.
The topics for discussion will include: Supporting Your Child’s Mental Health; Things Emotionally Intelligent Parents Do; and Knowing How Your Parenting Style Impacts Your Child’s Development.
Senior Psychologist with the Student Support Services Unit, Juanita Brathwaite-Wharton, will deliver remarks.
