Members of the public are encouraged to attend and support the Co-operatives Market, which will be held this Friday, November 4, on the grounds of Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael.

The event is being organised by the Co-operatives Department of the Ministry of Energy and Business, and will showcase products and services of the Women Entrepreneurs Co-operative, and co-operatives in the agricultural sector.

It will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During the morning, patrons will get an opportunity to sample vegetarian food prepared by Pinnacle Co-operative Society Limited, and pork from the Pig Farmers’ Co-operative, prepared by Dr. Phil’s Kitchen. 

Several items will be on sale, including agricultural produce, organic products, plants, various types of jewellery, craft, and local wines. There will also be free health checks from the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados.

Representative of the Pan-American International Insurance Corporation, Sylvia Yearwood, will be available to share information on medical and life insurance. Co-op Resident DJ Glen, and steel pan virtuoso, Elan Marie Jordan, will be featured during the fair.
