Registration for the preliminary round of the National Primary Schools’ Diabetes Quiz 2024 is now open to online entries for all students in Classes 2 and 3.

This quiz is made possible through the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados, in collaboration with the Lions Club of St. Michael, and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training,

In the preliminary round, the quiz, which is an individual assessment, can only be attempted once. It must be done online and is timed – students will have 40 minutes to answer 30 multiple-choice questions.

The semi-final and final rounds will be held in person.

The rules for the quiz are as follows:

  • Participants MUST be students of Class 2 or Class 3.
  • Students must visit the Diabetes & Hypertension Association of Barbados at www.dhabarbados.org,scroll to the bottom of the homepage and download the study material.
  • When the quiz is open, participants can click on the link which takes them to the quiz portal.
  • Once in the portal, students must enter their full names and other basic (and accurate) information.
  • After entering the student information, the quiz will begin.

This is the first time that this competition will be held in Barbados, while a similar competition was held in Trinidad and Tobago for the last three years. Students may visit www.dhabarbados.org/quiz to sign up on or before Tuesday, October 22.
