To further reduce crowding in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital out-patient clinics, out-patients are asked to present to clinic unaccompanied. Only out-patients who are:
- Minors i.e. children under the age of 18
- Elderly, who are at high risk of falling
- Those who require assistance with regular day to day activities, such as going to the bathroom or who may be disoriented may be accompanied by a caregiver or companion.
Additionally, all persons visiting the QEH are reminded that to slow down or stop the spread of COVID-19, face masks must be worn, and the physical distancing guidelines which require individuals to queue or sit at least six feet (two metres) away from other persons is to be maintained at all times.
As such, all out-patients and visitors to the QEH are being strongly urged to comply with these safety measures as failure to comply may result in the individual or individuals being denied entry to the premises.
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Board of Management apologises for any inconvenience caused and looks forward to your usual support and cooperation in this matter as we continue to strive towards “Getting Better Together”.
