Those members of the public who are participating in this year’s Emancipation March on Sunday, July 31, should gather in Independence Square, the City, at 3:30 p.m.

The walkers are expected to leave that location at 4:00 p.m. and cross the Chamberlain Bridge, turn left on to Wharf Road, make a right turn by the Immigration Department and continue on to McGregor Street. They will go left onto Lower Broad Street, proceed along Jubilee Gardens, turn left onto St. Mary’s Row and continue on to Lakes Folly.

They will turn right immediately before the Sewage Plant onto Chapman Lane, make another right turn onto Kensington New Road, turn left at 8th Avenue New Orleans, and proceed along the junction at Westbury Primary School and left onto Westbury Road.

Additionally, the walkers will keep straight after the traffic lights, turn left onto Westbury New Road, then right onto Spring Garden Highway and proceed to the Emancipation Village at Bridgetown Market on Spring Garden Highway (Courts Pasture).
