The annual National Conservation Commission’s (NCC) summer programme S.O.S (Save Our Selves) will be launched tomorrow, Wednesday, July 18, at Browne’s Beach, Bay Street, St. Michael, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
General Manager of the NCC, Keith Neblett, will address the ceremony, after which the first session will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The programme will be held every Wednesday until August 29, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Browne’s Beach (near the NCC’s beach facility).
The annual six-week programme seeks to teach persons to swim, as well as raise public awareness in several areas, including water safety, sea currents, winds, waves, red flags and beach signage.
