The Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology (SJPI), located at Wildey, St. Michael, will be closed to the public tomorrow, Friday, June 16.  This closure is to facilitate the investigation and resolution of an environmental issue.

As a result, all classes scheduled under the Barbados Construction Gateway Training Initiative (BCGTI) for Friday will also be cancelled.

During this time, all relevant administrative operations will be conducted remotely, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Officers may be contacted by calling the PBX at 535-2200.

Meanwhile, classes in the Distance and Continuing Education/Open and Flexible Learning Centre and the BCGTI programme slated for Saturday, June 17, will be held as scheduled. The Wildey campus will reopen to the public on Monday, June 19, at 8:30 a.m.

The management of the SJPI apologises for any inconvenience the closure may cause.
