Barbadians can now apply for academic scholarships to pursue masters or doctoral programmes at several Brazilian universities next year.
The Economic Affairs Division has advised that the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities are offering more than 700 scholarship opportunities to outstanding citizens of OAS member states.
The programmes will be taught in Portuguese; however, proficiency in that language is not a requirement for application.
The benefits of the scholarship are full tuition waiver, monthly stipend for living expenses, and Portuguese language support.??The first 100 selected candidates will receive a one-time US$1, 200 grant for settlement expenses.
