The Ellerslie School will host a science fair featuring the work of its first year students, next week, as part of its Independence Day activities.
The science fair takes place on Monday, November 28, at the school located at Black Rock, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
It will be held under the theme The Versatile Coconut. Students will display an array of items made from parts of the coconut including food items, hair and skin care products, household items and jewellery.
According to Acting Principal Stacia Austin, the aim of the science fair is to allow the students the opportunity to display their skills and see possibilities for career paths as well as personal development.
“We believe that children should have varied experiences which help in their holistic development,” said Ms. Austin.
