Registration is now open for the National Council for Science and Technology’s (NCST) annual Science and Technology (S&T) Summer Camp.
The camp, which targets boys and girls ages 6 to 11, will be held from July 11 to August 19, at St. Stephen’s Primary School, Black Rock, St, Michael. It will run from Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. daily.
The main focus of the camp will be science and technology based activities, including hands-on science experiments; presentations by scientists and an introduction to careers in S&T. Children will also be taken on weekly field trips.
Application forms may be collected from the office of the National Council for Science and Technology, Reef Road, Fontabelle, St. Michael or accessed from its website www.ncst.gov.bb.
They may be returned via fax to 228-5765 or emailed to: mct.ncst@barbados.gov.bb or arlene.weekes@barbados.gov.bb. Registration ends Monday July 4.
The National Council for Science and Technology is a department under the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation responsible for among other things, identifying S&T projects of national importance and coordinating research and development in S&T.
