Approximately 50 private and public sector officials will soon get an opportunity to discuss private sector led investment issues relating to growth and development in Barbados.
The Economic Affairs Division of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs will be hosting its annual seminar next Monday, September 30, under the theme Private Sector Led Growth and Development in Barbados 2013-2020. It will be held in the Lecture Theatre, First Floor, Warrens Office Complex.
Twelve presentations will be made during the day by representatives of various organisations, including Anne Reid of the Barbados Private Sector Association, Lynette Holder of the Small Business Association, Lisa Cummins of the Barbados Coalition of Service Industries, Keeley Holder of the National Union of Farmers, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme, Stephen O???Malley, Head of Operations at the European Union Delegation, Marc Thill, and Vashtie Dookiesingh of the Inter-American Development Bank.
The meeting is expected to increase the participants??? awareness of and contribution to the debate on the design of policies and programmes during the implementation of the Medium-Term Growth and Development Strategy 2013-2020.
