Tickets for the Barbados National Senior Games track and field meet at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex will be available from tomorrow, Friday, June 16. Admission to the meets on Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25, will be by ticket only.

Coordinator of the games, Captain Michael Jules, explained that the games were being held at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex, which had a capacity to hold about 2,500 people.

As a result, Captain Jules added that a ticketing system was being used, and persons are encouraged to get their tickets early. He said the tickets were free, and each person attending was eligible to receive four tickets for each day of the games. “The tickets will go quickly, and the only way to get into the facility is by ticket,” he stated.

Noting the games will run from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. each day, Captain Jules said this was done to allow the athletes, ranging in age from 40 to 90 plus, to compete in cooler conditions.

He explained that lights would be installed at the Usain Bolt Complex to facilitate the process, and persons are encouraged to get their tickets and come out with their blankets and chairs to give the athletes their support.
