A number of traffic changes will be put in place from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., on Monday, August 5, to accommodate Grand Kadooment. 

Bands will parade only along the route, commencing at Helipad Car Park, and proceed along Hincks Street, Princess Alice Highway, Prescod Boulevard, Elsie Payne Roundabout, President Kennedy Drive, Eagle Hall, Black Rock Main Road, Frank Worrell Roundabout, and The Mighty Grynner Highway, in St. Michael.

The emergency route will start at The Mighty Grynner Highway, and proceed along Exmouth Gap, Westbury Road, Passage Road, Country Road, Roebuck Street, Halls Road, and Martindale’s Road, in St. Michael.

Those roads to be closed to all vehicular traffic, except vehicles used in the Kadooment Day Parade and by members of the Festival Committee are:

Wharf Road; Hincks Street; Princess Alice Highway; Redman Drive; Prescod Boulevard; Fontabelle Road; Westbury Road; President Kennedy Drive; Eagle Hall Road; Black Rock Road; Holborn Circle; and The Mighty Grynner Highway.

Additionally, The Mighty Grynner Highway, from its junction with Holborn Circle to its junction with the Frank Worrell Roundabout and Black Rock Road, St. Michael, shall be closed to all vehicular traffic, except those vehicles used in the Kadooment Day Parade and by members of the Festival Committee.

Between the period of closure, no person shall drive along, park, or allow a vehicle to remain stationary on the parade route. These rules do not apply to vehicles used by The Barbados Police Service, The Barbados Defence Force, The Barbados Fire Service, or any other emergency vehicles.
