The International Association of Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows Inc. (IAMWMW) will host a tree planting ceremony tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30, at the National Botanical Gardens, Codrington, St. Michael, in commemoration of their 45th anniversary in Barbados.
Acting Minister of the Environment and National Beautification, Blue and Green Economy, Corey Lane, will deliver the feature address.
The Barbados Chapter of IAMWMW was founded in 1979, while the organisation was first started on April 18, 1941, in Richmond, Virginia, USA.
The IAMWMW was created to cultivate international goodwill, develop stronger interpersonal relationships and foster a more effective communication network, while promoting a cultural exchange with the wives and widows of religious ministers around the world.
