The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will conduct its fogging programme in St. Philip, Christ Church and St. George from Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30.
The Unit will spray districts in St. Philip on Monday, including Padmore Village, Harrow Road, Parish Land, Bushy Park, Harrow Land, Nightingale Land, Gaskin Road, and Vineyard Tenantry.
On Tuesday, the team will visit the following communities in Christ Church: Fair View Main Road, Dolphin Park, Bradshaw Hill, Yorkshire Development, and Walronds Nos.1 to 3.
It will be the turn of Cliff Meadows, Cox Hill, Cottage Vale, Halton Terrace Nos.1 to 2, Chapel Land with avenues, Breezy Hill, and Hill View Meadows in St. Philip, on Wednesday.
The Unit will remain in St. Philip on Thursday, where it will fog Church Village, Dodds Tenantry, Web Hill, Chapel Land, Mandeville Drive and surrounding areas.
Fogging for the week will conclude on Friday, in St. George and Christ Church. The team will target Hanson Crescent Drive, South District, Watts Village, Boarded Hall, Lower Greys, Dayrell’s Hill, Valley Vista, and Frere Pilgrim.
Fogging takes place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the spray.
Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time.
