The Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources (MTWW) is notifying persons who reside near Carmichael Road, St. George that the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) will be conducting water main upgrades on Friday, December 9, on Carmichael Road between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.

This work forms part of the Road Rehabilitation and Improving Connectivity of Road Infrastructure Project, which is funded by the Inter-American Development Bank.

The BWA will make every effort to expedite the work to minimize the length of time that the water service will be unavailable.

Residents of the following districts are urged to store water for their anticipated needs: Ellerton, Brighton, Carmichael, Bulkeley, Walkers, Boarded Hall, Frere Pilgrim, Edey Village, Skeene’s Hill and surrounding districts. Water tankers will also be deployed to affected areas.

The MTWW and the BWA thank residents and business operators in advance for their patience and understanding. For more information, please visit the Ministry’s social media pages on Facebook and Instagram @mtwbarbados.
