Members of the public are invited to come out and share their videos, photos, and local knowledge during two community workshops being held under the Advancing Community Resilience Planning in the Caribbean Region Project (ACC-ReP).

The first workshop will be held on Saturday, July 27, at the Bush Bar, Pile Bay, St. Michael, while the second will be on Sunday, July 28, at the North Stars Cricket Club, Crab Hill, St. Lucy. Both workshops begin at 4:00 p.m.

The meetings will discuss the various challenges the Pile Bay, St. Michael, and Crab Hill, St. Lucy communities face, and will collaboratively develop effective solutions for community improvement.

The ACC-ReP project is being executed by the Department of Emergency Management, in collaboration with The University of the West Indies Disaster Risk Reduction Centre and Northeastern University Global Resilience Institute.

It is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development and aims to advance and improve community and climate adaptation for managing risks associated with extreme weather events and sea level rise, while advancing the development of blue and green economies.
