Barbadians are being encouraged to sign up for The Productivity Council???s Getting Everyone to Understand Productivity (GET UP!) half-day workshops which started today and will continue every Tuesday until July 8.
The GET UP! sessions will be held at the Council???s Baobab Tower, Warrens, St. Michael headquarters, and persons interested in registering should immediately call 626-9416.
An official of the Council said the seminars are geared towards reinforcing the urgency which all employees, employers and stakeholders need to approach their personal and professional productivity in these challenging times.
???These GET UP! sessions will stress that now, more than ever, the practice of time management, self-monitoring, teamwork, communication and positive work ethic are crucial to limiting any fallout experienced in these difficult times, and can maintain and shore up one’s market position within the current climate,??? the spokesperson explained.
The official expressed the view that the training is a must for any organisation seeking to assist employees in understanding the relevance of improved productivity and performance and suggested that laid-off workers would also benefit from the key tips being provided during the sessions.??The GET UP! programme was launched last September and about 2,300 persons have participated to date.
