Barbadians have an opportunity to share their ideas on how an inclusive innovation ecosystem can unleash the creativity of girls and women, to build a better tomorrow for the benefit of all.

The World Intellectual Property Organization will be hosting a World Intellectual Property Day 2023 Video Competition, and the Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property Office is encouraging citizens to participate.

The 90-second video may showcase the creativity and innovation of women inventors, creators and entrepreneurs. It should highlight how intellectual property (IP) rights can enable women to make an even greater impact on society and the economy, as well as the collective benefits that come from the participation of a greater number of women in innovation and IP ecosystems.

Videos must be submitted to https://wipd-2023-video-competition.wipo.int by 11:59 Central Europe Time on Sunday, March 19. For further information on the competition, persons should check the aforementioned hyperlink.

The best 10 videos will be published on the competition platform on April 13 for an online public vote, to choose the three winners, who will be announced on World Intellectual Property Day, April 26, 2023.
