The Barbados Police Service has advised that there will be no road closures for the Courtesy Garage Pic-O-De-Crop Finals on Friday, August 2, and the Courts Ready Cash and 98.1 The One, Soca 5.0 show on Sunday, August 4, which will both be held in the Amphitheatre of the National Botanical Gardens, Waterford, St. Michael.

However, only persons with specific passes will be allowed onto the grounds of the National Botanical Gardens. 

The Courtesy Garage Pic-O-De-Crop Finals will begin at 8:00 p.m., while the Courts Ready Cash and 98.1 The One, Soca 5.0 show will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

On the day of these events, no person shall park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary on the following roads, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers. They are:

  • Waterford Road
  • Waterford Boulevard
  • Station Hill Road
  • Codrington Road
  • Bush Hall Road
  • Stadium Road
  • Storey Gap

Additionally, no person shall park or allow a vehicle to remain stationary along the emergency route or alternate route, except for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers.  The routes are:

  • Primary route: National Botanical Gardens – Waterford Road, Station Hill, Hindsbury Road, Halls Road, Martindales Road, Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH)
  • Alternate route: National Botanical Gardens – Bush Hall Main Road, White Park Road, Country Road, Halls Road, Martindale’s Road, QEH

Patrons attending the events will be permitted to park on the grounds of the Netball Stadium, the International Gardens, and Waterford Boulevard. No parking will be permitted on the sidewalks.

The Barbados Police Service apologises for the anticipated traffic flow disruptions and thanks the public for its cooperation.
